Useful Information

Travelling from the UK

British visitors to the US, including children, must have their own machine-readable passport. Visitors carrying older non-machine-readable passports are likely to be refused entry to the US under the Visa Waiver Programme after this date.

If travelling under the Visa Waiver Program, the passport must be valid for at least 90 days from the date on which the holder enters the United States. If not, the holder will be admitted until the expiration date on the passport.

See the UK Passport Service and US Embassy web sites for more information.
